Lezhin to plan limiting screenshots in their apps as issues on piracy and illegal uploads heat up.

The saga over illegal sites and piracy continues as more updates following Lezhin’s apology last Wednesday May 12th, 2021. In a reply to user jiwahsmiles, Lezhin reveals plan to incorporate a way to limit screenshots in their apps though there have been no details as to how this would be implemented yet.

It is possible that this will be like how Netflix does it wherein a blank page will show up when a user tries to screenshot while in the app. Regardless, it is not yet clear how this method and measure will impact user experience.

Apparently, Lezhin has defended one of its authors when they got involved in an online disagreement with a fan over illegal sites leading to a less than pleasant interaction online. Time will only tell how this will pan out for the fans and the industry as a whole.
