Author continues battle against illegal uploads; hits fans and threatens to sue translation group as war on piracy rages

YD continues twitter tirade even after apologized last week for engaging fans in less than savory manners regarding issues of and illegal upload. Turns out that they’re seriously considering taking legal actions. Not only that but they continue to battle it out with fans on social media.

In one tweet, the author compares reading illegally to killing/murdering an author and compares illegal readers to dating violence. While Lezhin is now strangely quiet about this issue in their official twitter page, it appears that this author is still at it.

It can be recalled that last week, Lezhin apologized for its actions against fans and on social media after issues on illegal uploads and piracy made its rounds across the internet. And that them lashing out was a result of their passion to their creators. It turns out that the apology involved YD and the altercations with fans. Read the here if you haven’t already.

Only time will tell what will come out of this whole debacle. One thing’s for sure though. Should the suit continues, it can set a precedence to other groups.

It makes you wonder what really happened that sets off this bitter chain of events since scanlators and authors always have this amicable symbiotic relationship with one another, with the scanlators promoting works that wouldn’t otherwise be noticed by the public.

It’s also apparent that readers and fans will be affected by this issue. In a separate news, it can be recalled that Lezhin is planning to limit screenshots in their apps as a measure against piracy. Whether this will be effective in the long run still remains to be seen.
